In March 2015, New York Times Best Selling author, Dr. Norman Doidge, traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah, to share the new brain science of Neuroplasticity to a sell-out crowd of 1700 at the Grand America Hotel. The hope and healing offered in his books, The Brain that Changes Itself and The Brain's Way of Healing, were desperately needed by many.
Melanie and Nick Herrmann were fortunate to be a part of the marketing and media efforts for this sell-out event. The story of Nick's life with a TBI and Melanie's research, investment and training in Neuroplastic interventions to help him (and her other children) was shared on local radio and television stations and published in magazines. Overwhelmed with phone calls and emails from people asking for help in applying interventions shared at the event in their own families, Melanie and Nick produced a You Tube Channel, "Brain Change 4 You" , to share their grassroots journey. "You told us there is a Santa Claus. Now how do we get him to stop at our house?"
To help individuals and families with challenges like their own, they also shared a Neuroplastic Resource Guide upon request.
In 2018, requests for information and help continue. This website with video links and resources (such as dpl LIght Therapy Devices, PACE and NF) will be our new avenue to share information and resources. We hope you will find it useful. Please share with friends and family who are also seeking hope and healing.
*In this fast paced world, employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities are limited. Though talented and capable in both distinctive and unique ways, the disabled are passed by for more 'neuro-typical' individuals. This site, products and services will be an additional source of income for Nick and his future wife as they navigate life and family with a disability. We thank you for your support.
